Christian Cage returns to AEW, attacks Jungle Boy

Christian Cage returned from injury on Wednesday’s Dynamite, reigniting his feud with Jungle Boy.

Christian attacked “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry after Perry defeated Brian Cage on Wednesday’s show. Christian came out with his right arm in a sling, but removed the sling after the attack, revealing that it was a ruse.

Christian has been out of action since September after reportedly suffering a torn triceps and undergoing surgery. Christian defeated Jungle Boy at All Out on September 4, 2022 in a match that went less than a minute due to Christian’s injury. Luchasaurus turned on Jungle Boy to allow Christian to score the victory in that bout.

Christian had served as a manager for Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus throughout their AEW World Tag Team Championship run, but turned on Jungle Boy in June 2022 at Dynamite Road Rager after Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy lost the Tag titles.

Christian, 49, made his AEW debut at Revolution in March 2021, weeks after returning to the ring in WWE at the Royal Rumble after a nearly seven-year layoff.
