Christopher Daniels has no intention of wrestling again: ‘I don’t wanna embarrass myself’
TNA and wrestling veteran Christopher Daniels has revealed his intention of wrestling again in the future.
Daniels, 56, currently working in AEW, is vividly remembered for his time in TNA Wrestling. Last wrestled in early 2025 on the Jericho Cruise, Daniels currently does not want to wrestle and embarrass himself again.
Daniels did a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, where he shared his thoughts and intentions of wrestling again in the future. (H/T Fightful)
“I mean, I wish I could, but I have to be honest about physically how my body’s beat up, and I watched some of the last matches of my career. I did a lot of stuff in DEFY in Seattle, Washington, and I watched a lot of those matches and while the mental part of those matches is really, really good at least — I’m very proud of it — I have to be honest and say I wasn’t really in the best of shape, and I could tell that I was slowing down, and so, yeah… the way it ended for me is probably best that it ended, and yeah, I don’t really have a desire to get back into it just because I don’t wanna embarrass myself.”
Despite wrestling on the Jericho Cruise, Daniels’ last televised bout dates back to a Texas Death Match against Adam Page, which he lost.
Wrestling since the early 1990s, Daniels currently has around 1917 listed matches on Cagematch. Although, despite the experience, he believes to have moved on from that space.
