Cody & Dustin Rhodes vs. Lucha Bros set for January 8 AEW Dynamite

A first-time ever match between two teams of siblings is set for the second AEW Dynamite of 2020.

AEW announced this afternoon that Cody & Dustin Rhodes will team up against The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) on the January 8 episode of Dynamite. This is the first match announced for the show.

Cody and Dustin have teamed together twice in AEW thus far. They lost to The Young Bucks in the main event of Fight for the Fallen in July. On week three of AEW Dark, Cody, Dustin & The Young Bucks defeated Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) & Strong Hearts (CIMA & T-Hawk).

Pentagon & Fenix defeated Kenny Omega & Hangman Page on Dynamite last week. Page accidentally hit Omega with a Buckshot Lariat before the finish.

Dynamite is off this week due to Wednesday being Christmas. The show returns with a live episode at Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida on New Year’s Day.

The January 8 episode of Dynamite is taking place at the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. It’s being called the anniversary edition of the show, with it being held on the one-year anniversary of AEW’s Double or Nothing rally.
