Coffin match added to AEW Dynamite lineup
A coffin match is set for Wednesday’s Dynamite.
The opening moments of the AEW Revolution post-show press conference saw Gabe Kidd storm the interview area where he cut an obscenity-laced promo disparaging New Japan, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Darby Allin. He told Tony Khan that he wanted Allin in an unsanctioned coffin match this Wednesday because the only way this would end between himself and Allin would be when Allin is pushing up daisies.
After he left, Khan said he liked the idea and the match was later made official on social media.
Kidd has been feuding with Allin for weeks, with one notable incident seeing him and Clark Connors kidnapping Allin and abandoning him in the Las Vegas desert. At Revolution, Kidd was zip tied to the entrance stage as Allin, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong defeated Kidd, Connors, and the newest member of The Dogs, David Finlay.
Already announced for Dynamite is a no holds barred match between Marina Shafir and Toni Storm.
