Countdown to AEW Double or Nothing draws nearly 350k viewers

Ratings are in for AEW’s Countdown to Double or Nothing special that aired on Friday night.

The special, which was an hour long and began at 10 p.m. Eastern time, averaged 344,000 viewers on TNT. It ranked 51st on cable for the night in the 18-49 demo with a 0.10 rating.

Double or Nothing took place on Saturday night and was headlined by The Elite & Matt Hardy facing The Inner Circle in a Stadium Stampede match.

AEW’s Countdown show that aired on TNT prior to February’s Revolution pay-per-view averaged 383,000 viewers, so this Countdown was down 10 percent from that. However, that special aired directly after a live broadcast of Dynamite on Wednesday.

The February special did a 0.14 rating in 18-49, so this was down 30 percent from that. On a stronger night of competition, it only finished 61st on the night.

For a comparison, last week’s episode of Dynamite averaged 701,000 viewers and last week’s NXT averaged 592,000. Dynamite did a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo, while NXT did a 0.13.
