Former ROH World Champion returns in vignette on AEW Collision

Dalton Castle is back and it appears he’s formed an alliance with a popular tag team.
The former ROH World Champion returned in a vignette with The Outrunners on Saturday’s AEW Collision. Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd were shown out in the woods reconnecting with nature when several of Castle’s boys appeared around them. Castle then appeared, dramatically shook hands with both Outrunners, and said, “Let’s go break some hearts” as the segment came to a close.
On commentary, Nigel McGuinness noted that The Outrunners have been on a slump recently and an alliance with Castle could get them back on track.
Castle hasn’t wrestled since being knocked out in a match against Roderick Strong at the July 10, 2024, Collision taping. Two weeks later, Tony Khan revealed that Castle needed surgery for a torn biceps. A vignette announcing his return to Ring of Honor aired three months ago, but was not followed up on.
Castle and The Outrunners have been paired up before. Magnum and Floyd previously appeared as Castle’s Boys, and the three also teamed in a trios match on Ring of Honor just days before Castle was injured.
