Dante Martin qualifies for ladder match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
Dante Martin has qualified for the TNT title ladder match at Forbidden Door.
Martin defeated Lee Moriarty on Saturday’s Collision to advance, winning after a meteora and a frog splash. After the match, Shane Taylor and Anthony Ogogo jumped Martin. Darius Martin and Action Andretti ran out for the save but were being outmatched when Lio Rush entered the ring, managing to take out all three men.
Earlier in the show, Rush walked up to Martin during an interview and greeted his former tag partner. He brought up he had a history with Andretti, and wished Dante luck in his qualifying match.
Jack Perry, Konosuke Takeshita, and Mark Briscoe have won qualifying matches in recent weeks for the ladder match at Forbidden Door, which will crown a new TNT Champion after Adam Copeland broke his leg following a title match at Double or Nothing.
