Darby Allin says he’s ‘got a lot of stuff planned’ for AEW Blood & Guts

Darby Allin is prepared for his first-ever cage match on AEW Dynamite.

Allin is scheduled to be part of Team AEW at Blood & Guts tonight in Nashville. He opened up to Sports Illustrated recently about the match.

“I’ve got a lot of stuff planned,” said Allin. “I’ve never even been in a cage match before. Never. It’s a fun challenge. And you know me, I love a challenge.”

“This is really important to me. I want to be the face of this company. I want to be the spokesperson for this place. Look what AEW has allowed me to do inside the ring, and the freedom I get outside the ring. That’s why I’ve been able to be authentic and real to myself.”

In addition to tonight’s Blood & Guts match, Allin is preparing for a likely showdown with Jack Perry in Wembley Stadium later this summer. At Collision on Saturday, Allin challenged Perry to a TNT title match at All In. When asked about Perry, Allin stated that he has been “rewarded for bad behavior” and that he “does not care for him.”

“It’s pretty cool to see what Jack is doing now,” he said. “Everyone always says a pro wrestler is at their best when they’re themselves turned up to ten. In real life, he’s an idiot. He’s entitled. So he’s getting to be his real self. I feel like he’s been rewarded for bad behavior. I don’t care for him.”

Allin is coming off a win over The Beast Mortos on AEW Collision this week. He now has a 7-3 AEW record on the year.
