Deonna Purrazzo comments on her ‘surprisingly high’ PWI ranking
Deonna Purrazzo shared some comments about her PWI ranking this year.
The former TNA Knockouts Champion was ranked number 99 this year. She has been ranked as high as 12 and was at number 34 last year. However, Purrazzo mentioned on social media that this past year has been challenging for her, but that being ranked as high as she was shows that “consistency matters.”
Purrazzo wrote:
“This year tested me in ways I never expected. At times, my career felt stalled & stale and I found myself wondering if there was still a place for me in all of this. Being ranked so surprisingly high by @OfficialPWI means the world — not for validation, but because it proves that consistency matters. Showing up, even when it’s hard, counts. Someone once told me, ‘Some years are for growing, and some are for building.’ This was a building year. Next year, I bloom.”
Purrazzo’s description in the edition reads:
“Adept scientific wrestler won a series of Pure Rules matches in ROH against the likes of Rachael Ellering, Marti Belle, and Ashley Vox … Also competed for AEW, RevPro, REVOLVER, and Game Changer Wrestling … Enjoyed wins over Shazza McKenzie, Ava Lawless, and Taryn From Accounting.”
Purrazzo had her quarterfinal round match in the ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament last week. She defeated Trish Adora, which aired on last Thursday’s episode of ROH. She’s set to face Queen Aminata next in the semifinals and is now 7-0 in Pure Rules matches dating back to May. Her most recent AEW appearance was a loss to Harley Cameron on the February 26 edition of Dynamite.
