Deonna Purrazzo on crutches after injury at ROH tapings

ROH Women's Pure Champion Deonna Purrazzo

After suffering an injury at Monday night’s Ring of Honor tapings, Deonna Purrazzo is on crutches and has her right leg in a walking boot.

Purrazzo was injured while making an ROH Women’s Pure Championship defense against Steph De Lander in Jacksonville. According to the report we received from a fan in attendance, Purrazzo needed to be helped to the back after taking a suplex on the outside. The match ended in a no contest with Purrazzo retaining her title.

“Thanks for all the love & positivity,” Purrazzo wrote to fans on social media today while sharing a photo of herself giving two thumbs up. She has two crutches under her arms in the picture and her right leg is in a boot.

There has been no word on the specifics of Purrazzo’s injury or how long it could keep her out of action.

In December 2025, Purrazzo became the first ROH Women’s Pure Champion in history. She is the only wrestler who has ever held the title. Along with her AEW/ROH work, Purrazzo partnered with her husband Steve Maclin to put together a Battle for the Brave indie show in New Jersey earlier this month to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which was created after 9/11 to help honor and support veterans and first responders.

Maclin recently became a free agent after being granted his release from TNA Wrestling.
