Dustin Rhodes signed new six-year AEW contract in 2024

The new AEW contract Dustin Rhodes signed last year is a long-term one.

In December 2024, Rhodes announced that he had agreed to a new multi-year contract with AEW. The exact length of the deal was not disclosed at the time, but it’s now been revealed to be a six-year agreement. The information was disclosed in a profile on Rhodes that the Dallas Morning News published today.

“If he can make it to the end of the six-year deal he signed with AEW over the winter, in which he consults, coaches, occasionally wrestles and acts as an ambassador for the promotion, he’ll have six decades in the business,” the story says.

The 56-year-old Rhodes currently holds the ROH Tag Team titles with Sammy Guevara and the ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles with Marshall & Ross Von Erich. Rhodes told the Dallas Morning News that he still dreams of being a World Champion at some point before his career is over.

Rhodes told the Battleground Podcast this February that he would like to have his retirement match in approximately three years, which would mean that a portion of this new AEW deal would be spent fully in a non-wrestling capacity if he sticks to that timeline.
