Eddie Kingston announced for upcoming wXw event
Eddie Kingston is headed to Germany.
wXw announced that the former ROH Champion would be returning to the promotion at Drive of Champions, which will take place on June 6 in Oberhausen. It would be Kingston’s first match back in the promotion since competing at the wXw 16 Carat Gold tournament in 2020.
In their announcement, wXw noted that this would likely be Kingston’s last appearance, as Kingston is ending all of his independent dates after 2026. He announced late last year that he is on his “final indy run.”
“So this is my last indy run. Doing beyond and a show in Jersey this weekend,” Kingston revealed. “After that I am taking only one show a month. By next November I am done with the indies and yeah nothing more too it. As of now I [have] December and March, April, May.”
After making his return to AEW last fall following a leg injury that kept him off television for a year, Kingston took more time away to deal with migraines. He returned late last month at Maple Leaf Pro, teaming with Ortiz.
