Harley Cameron says Saraya is ‘pretty close-lipped’ about her future
Harley Cameron recently discussed who in AEW has helped her develop during an interview with TMZ.
Cameron is now one-half of the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions along with Willow Nightingale as The Babes of Wrath and says her success in the company can be attributed to many people who have helped her develop over the two and a half years she’s been there.
In particular, Cameron mentioned Saraya as one of her best friends and somebody she has learned from.
“I love her. She’s one of my best friends, and she’s just one of the best people. I attribute a lot of my career development and growth to her, and I learned so much from her. I learned so much about wrestling on television, and it was so lucky to be put in that position with her because I feel like I got a decade of experience just working with her in the year that we got to be together.”
“We’re still very close. We stay in touch. I see her all the time. I’m really excited for whatever her future holds, and I miss her a lot.”
Asked about Saraya recently posting training footage, Cameron responded that Saraya has been close-lipped about what is next for her.
Cameron continued:
“She’s been pretty close-lipped about what’s coming next, but I think she obviously took some time away, and I know she’s been doing some great things outside of the wrestling world and staying really busy.”
“I think she’s definitely at a point in her life where whatever she does next, she’s going all in. So I’m really excited to see what that is.”
Cameron was also asked about other wrestlers in AEW she is close with or has learned from. She responded that both Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy have helped her develop.
Cameron said:
“Kris Statlander is awesome. She’s someone who, from day one, has always given me the time of day. I’ll message her, ‘Will you come in early and train with me?’ and she’s just always said yes. She’s so helpful and always goes the extra mile to help me. She’s awesome.
“Orange Cassidy is another person who goes out of his way to help me train and puts in his time he doesn’t have to dedicate. He trains a lot of us, actually. Some of us will get together in the morning before shows, and he’ll run a full training session for everyone. He’s great. He’s honestly just one of the best humans alive.
“And I also love Tony Schiavone,” Cameron added. She also mentioned training with Nigel McGuinness from time to time.
