Inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions crowned at Winter is Coming
The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) created history at AEW Dynamite Winter is Coming, becoming the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.
The duo defeated the Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) in the finals of the eight-team tournament to open Wednesday’s show.
The closing moments of the bout saw Cameron hit her finishing move on Shirakawa, allowing Nightingale to follow up with the Babe with the Power Bomb to secure the pinfall victory.
The post-match angle saw Nightingale express her gratitude toward Cameron, acknowledging how she had remained by her side. Cameron, in turn, reflected on her long history with Nightingale and how the two have grown together to reach this championship milestone.
All four women embraced inside the ring to finish the segment and end the bout on a high note.
