Indie promotion to hold TV taping at upcoming AEW Dynamite

AEW will be sharing the spotlight when Dynamite comes to Athens, Georgia next month.

On September 9, AEW will hold a special “Rebel Heart” edition of Dynamite at Akins Ford Arena. It was announced today that Georgia-based indie promotion One Fall Wrestling (1FW) will be holding a TV taping both before and after that night’s AEW action. 1FW is owned by AEW wrestler/executive QT Marshall and was the first indie to join the MyAEW service.

“The special television taping will take place both before and after AEW Dynamite, giving 1FW fans the opportunity to see their favorite stars compete on the biggest stage in 1FW history, while giving AEW fans the chance to see familiar faces and discover the champions and rising stars who have helped make 1FW Georgia’s number 1 promotion,” a press release said.

Marshall thanked Tony Khan for giving 1FW this platform, especially since September 9 is such an important night for AEW. The Dynamite episode is dedicated to Rebel (Tanea Brooks), who is battling ALS. Rebel is set to make an appearance at the show.

“I’d like to personally thank Tony Khan and AEW for giving 1FW the opportunity to be part of such an important night,” Marshall said. “For Tony to allow us to showcase 1FW before and after Dynamite means a great deal to everyone at 1FW. More importantly, this is about coming together for Rebel and supporting the fight against ALS.”

AEW raising money for ALS research —

In conjunction with the Rebel Heart show, AEW will be making donations to charity organizations I Am ALS and the Team Gleason Foundation, two groups that are looking to put an end to ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). The disease is fatal and does not currently have a cure. AEW also has Rebel Heart T-shirts and bracelets on sale to benefit these two charities.

There is no Collision taping the night of the Rebel Heart show, which allows 1FW to have this spot. The Saturday, September 12 edition of Collision will take place live from MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
