Injury update on AEW’s Adam Cole

Adam Cole is not expected to wrestle until AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Following his victory over Samoa Joe at Double or Nothing, AEW announced that Cole was injured and removed him from a 10-man tag match scheduled for last week’s Dynamite.

Bryan Alvarez stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cole is expected to be out until the June 26 pay-per-view.

“I was told that Danielson is out one to two weeks and probably no Cole until Forbidden Door. They’re going to let him rest up,” Alvarez said.

The nature of his injury is not currently known.

Cole has kept a busy schedule in AEW so far in 2022. He’s wrestled in 18 matches for the promotion this year. He became the first wrestler to win the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament after defeating Tomohiro Ishii in a qualifying match, Dax Harwood in the quarter-finals, Jeff Hardy in the semi-finals, and then Joe in the finals.
