Jack Perry wins National title at AEW Revolution

Jack Perry wins National title

Jack Perry is the new National Champion.

The final moments of the Blackjack Battle Royal that headlined Zero Hour opened the main card of Sunday’s AEW Revolution event in Los Angeles. After Perry threw El Clon out of the ring, the match boiled down to him and Ricochet. The two did battle as Ricochet grabbed Perry off the turnbuckle and went to deliver a move on the apron. Perry instead countered and hit a reverse rana, causing Ricochet to tumble out of the ring.

Perry and Ricochet have been feuding for the last several weeks. Although Perry was unsuccessful in challenging Ricochet for the title, his team won the Mile High Madness match on last month’s Dynamite, defeating Ricochet’s team. On Collision, he revealed he would be part of the battle royal.

The former Jungle Boy made his entrance on Saturday by arriving on a bus driven by tag team partner Luchasaurus, who is out of action with an injury.

Ricochet became the first National Champion back in November when he won a Casino Gauntlet match at Full Gear. He had defended the title across several promotions including Ring of Honor, CMLL, and New Japan.
