Jake Roberts undergoes successful hip surgery
The 70-year-old former wrestler Jake Roberts has undergone another surgery in the span of one year.
The wrestling legend’s partner, Cheryl Roberts, recently updated a status on Facebook on Tuesday, notifying fans around the globe about the veteran’s successful hip surgery.
“Surgery was a huge success! Jake is now home and recovering. Thank you for all prayers and well wishes.”
PWInsider also reported that Roberts underwent ‘hip revision surgery’ to fix his previous hip replacement that had become “problematic.” Roberts has had several health issues in the years since he wrestled his last match in 2018. The WWE Hall of Famer also previously underwent heart ablation surgery in May 2025 to fix an arrhythmia. Earlier in 2020, he also faced complications from COPD and double pneumonia, for which he underwent a bronchoscopy. In 2014, Roberts was diagnosed with muscular cancer below his knee, which he later underwent treatment for.
Despite his several health complications, Roberts worked extensively with Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) and lost over 50 pounds and regained his mobility, while successfully beating his addiction problems as well. Currently signed to AEW, he has not made an appearance for All Elite Wrestling since October 2024.
