Joey Janela now facing Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite

After originally announcing Joey Janela vs. Jack Evans for the show, AEW has switched up Janela’s match for this Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Janela vs. Kenny Omega is now set for tomorrow’s episode. It’s a rematch from week two of AEW Dark, though an unsanctioned stipulation hasn’t been announced for this match.

Omega defeated Janela in an unsanctioned lights out match on the AEW Dark episode that was filmed in Boston. AEW tweeted that the rematch is based off of the response to their first bout.

Evans will now face Darby Allin and Jimmy Havoc in a triple threat match on the episode of AEW Dark that’s being taped tomorrow. It will premiere on YouTube next Tuesday (October 29).

Tomorrow’s Dynamite is taking place at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh is Britt Baker’s hometown, and AEW has announced that Jamie Hayter will be her opponent on the episode. Hayter is from the United Kingdom and wrestles for Stardom, where she is currently teaming with Baker’s rival Bea Priestley in the Goddess of Stardom Tag League.

This is the first time Hayter has wrestled for AEW.

Here’s the updated card for tomorrow’s Dynamite:

  • Jon Moxley vs. PAC
  • Private Party vs. The Lucha Bros in an AEW Tag Team title tournament semifinal match
  • The Dark Order vs. SoCal Uncensored in an AEW Tag Team title tournament semifinal match
