Komander officially pulled from CMLL FantasticaMania
CMLL has announced that Komander is officially off FantasticaMania Mexico.
He was originally scheduled to team with Bandido and Hologram to challenge for the CMLL World Trios titles against Mistico, Neon, and Mascara Dorada on Friday’s show at Arena Mexico. However, Komander was injured at an event in Oaxaca on June 8, when he slipped while performing a rope walk.
CMLL released a statement on Monday announcing changes to the FantasticaMania lineup.
“OFFICIAL STATEMENT: FantasticaMania Mexico 2025 The CMLL informs that, due to a medical report, the wrestler Komander will not be able to participate in this event.”
As a result of Komander’s injury, the main event has been changed to a tag team match with Mistico & Mascara Dorada against Bandido & Hologram. Neon will now face Kevin Knight in a Lightning Match (10-minute time limit).
“The match for the CMLL World Trios Championship will be rescheduled and will take place at a later date, which will be announced soon,” reads a translation from today’s statement.
“We appreciate your understanding and the constant support of our fans. CMLL reaffirms its commitment to presenting a top-tier show at FantasticaMania Mexico 2025.”
Komander’s injury
The injury was first reported in Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer described it as “a significant knee injury.”
“He was getting it checked this week to find out the severity of it, but he did show up to Dynamite and wanted to do the match and the doctors said no way possible, so it is serious.”
