Kris Statlander match set for Beyond Wrestling show

Beyond Wrestling has revealed Kris Statlander’s opponent for their New Year’s Eve show.

The AEW star returns to Beyond at Heavy Lies The Crown in Worcester, Massachusetts on Tuesday, December 31. It’s been announced that Statlander will face Bryce Donovan — a WWE ID prospect — at the show. Donovan will be managed by AEW’s Mark Sterling.

Heavy Lies The Crown is taking place from the White Eagle in Worcester and will stream live via IndependentWrestling.TV.

Statlander and Donovan were both trained at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy, which is owned by Brian Myers and Pat Buck.

Before signing with AEW in 2019, Statlander regularly competed for Beyond Wrestling. She still has infrequent indie matches while with AEW, and this will be her second time wrestling for Beyond in 2024.

In AEW, Statlander is looking to get another shot at TBS Champion Mercedes Mone after coming up short at Full Gear.

Donovan was among the first wrestlers announced for the WWE ID development program. He’s made appearances as an enhancement talent for AEW/ROH in the past.
