Kris Statlander to undergo surgery following ACL tear

Kris Statlander is out of action following an ACL tear.

Statlander confirmed a PWInsider report saying that she had suffered a knee injury, writing on Twitter: “Since the news is out. I told you I’d dive on Kip again and dammit I did. But in doing so, I ended up with a high grade tear in my ACL. Yes I need surgery. Yes I’ll be out of the ring for a while. I’ll do my best to still show up on your TVs as much as I can. @AEWrestling”

The injury happened on last week’s Dynamite, where Statlander teamed with Hikaru Shida to take on Penelope Ford and Nyla Rose in a tag match. Statlander went for a suicide dive on Kip Sabian, who was at ringside, and landed on her knees.

Statlander has been feuding with Penelope Ford since Double or Nothing, when Statlander defeated her in a singles match.
