Leila Grey provides ACL injury update, shares Mercedes Mone’s role in recovery
Months after suffering a severe ACL injury, AEW/ROH wrestler Leila Grey has dropped an update on it.

“I’m actually healing up pretty well so, keeping up with my therapy and yeah, we’re gonna come back strong,” she said.
“It’s a long process, but I’m trying to stay positive. Doing what I gotta do… to come back strong, make a big comeback because I miss all you guys so much. I miss going to work, I miss wrestling, I miss being in the ring.
“It’s gonna be a long recovery. That is for sure, but I am definitely doing good on my physical therapy, and I’m healing up, and I’m going even a little faster than the healing timeline by my doctor, so it’s going good, but it’s definitely gonna be a while,” Grey continued.
A few months ago, in December 2025, Grey injured her ACL during her TBS Championship match against Mercedes Mone. She underwent successful surgery for it last month and has now opened up on Mone’s role in her recovery.
“Of course, of course she did. Yes, and she was with me the whole time afterward. She did not leave my side. Mercedes has been great.”
The injury took place during the December 6, 2025, episode of AEW Collision at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Grey was previously a part of the SkyFlight faction, and there is currently no confirmed timeline for her return.
