Megan Bayne suffers torn ACL, expected to miss nine months

Independent star and frequent AEW Dark competitor Megan Bayne has suffered a torn ACL.

Bayne revealed the injury at today’s IWTV/WWR Galentine’s Day show. The news was first reported by the RedLeafRetrocast.

Bayne is a former OVW Women’s Champion. She began working for AEW in 2021, first appearing as enhancement talent in losses to Big Swole, Thunder Rosa, and Nyla Rose. She has since won three consecutive AEW matches, scoring wins over Leila Gray, Shalonce Royal, and Tiffany Nieves. Bayne’s last match took place at the AEW Dark tapings in Orlando at Universal Studios on February 5.

All of Bayne’s appearances have come during Dark or Dark: Elevation tapings.

Bayne is also the current holder of the Immortal Championship Wrestling Women’s Championship.

Trained by Al Snow, Bayne began her career in OVW in 2017. She also appeared on a joint OVW/Impact Wrestling event in 2019 in a match also featuring Jordynne Grace, Kiera Hogan, and Havok.
