Mercedes Mone: $99.99 a ‘low price’ for text service

Mercedes Mone

Mercedes Mone hasn’t wrestled a match since New Year’s Eve. How is she paying bills while sitting on the shelf? Apparently, by charging fans about a hundred bucks a month for texts.

Mone talked about the service while appearing along with international rival Mina Shirakawa on the We Playin’ Spades show with Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee. (Though the interview was released on Monday, it was taped several months ago, when Mone only had four titles.) “There so many people that say ‘Oh, I’m talking to you, I’m messaging you,’” she said. “And they’re getting scammed. So I’m like ‘How about you really do talk to me? You talk to the people that you love, but you got to pay me $99 a month, but I’m texting you whenever I’m free.”

Cannon and Bee were stunned by this price and asked if Mone was texting “sexy stuff.” “No, no sexy stuff,” Mone insisted. “You know, these are just my legit fans. It’s the Mone crew, the people that love me, that respect me, that want to know the ins and outs of my day and how I’m feeling, how is it being a CEO, and I teach them.”

Cannon, still in shock, began to repeat the price over and over. “Isn’t that great?” Mone asked. “It’s a low price. Very low.”

Money launched her texting service in April of 2025. We have no word on how successful her venture has been.

Though they were partners in spades, Mone and Shirakawa have been rivals several times in AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling, including three championship matches with four different championships at stake. They were also on opposing teams in AEW’s Blood & Guts match last November.
