Mercedes Mone’s opponent announced for indie show in Denmark

Mercedes Mone will be challenging for another title belt when she wrestles in Denmark this weekend.

Earlier this week, Mone was announced for BODYSLAM Wrestling’s show on Friday, October 10, in Greve Municipality, Denmark, although no opponent was revealed at the time.

BODYSLAM has since announced that Mone will challenge Aliss Ink for the promotion’s Women’s Championship, writing:

“For a staggering 1,100 days, Aliss Ink has worn the gold. Will October 10 in Greve be the final day of the reign of Scandinavia’s greatest wrestler of this millennium? Mercedes Moné is unparalleled in history, and if she ‘slays the Scandinavian Dragon,’ it will be another achievement in an already unmatched career. You’ve heard of the Forbidden Door, but on Friday AEW’s Mercedes Moné will be going through the Portal! Will it be the night when ‘The CEO’ wins her 10th belt? From AEW Dynamite to Danish Dynamite! History will be written on Friday. Be a part of it! Secure your ticket now – see you ringside!”

When Mone was first announced for the show, it was unclear if Ink would be available for the match. She had recently revealed in an Instagram post that she was out dealing with an injury, writing, “Absolutely gutted that I couldn’t join the party due to injury. To everyone missing me yesterday, the Dragon will be back, with thicker scales than ever.”

Mone has another title match lined up for later this week. She’s scheduled to challenge Jody Threat for the WPW Women’s Championship on Sunday, October 19, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As of this writing, Mone is not scheduled to appear at AEW WrestleDream, which takes place the night before in St. Louis, Missouri.
