Mercedes Mone celebrates 12th title: ‘The best to ever do it’

After adding yet another belt to her collection, Mercedes Mone took a moment to celebrate the win on social media.
Mone had a very busy weekend, competing three different times in three different countries. It started off for CMLL in Mexico on Friday with a win against Persephone. On Saturday, Mone was back in the United States for a victory over Mina Shirakawa at WrestleDream. She then capped things off on Sunday by defeating Jody Threat for Winnipeg Pro Wrestling in Canada.
The latter two matches saw Mone win new gold: the interim ROH Women’s TV Championship and the Winnipeg Pro Women’s Championship. She is now in possession of 12 title belts. To celebrate that, Mone posted a video of all her gold.
“The best to ever do it!,” she wrote. “12 belts MONÉ”
The video — which shows Mone counting her money and laughing — serves to troll fans upset over her current belt collector gimmick. She has trademarked the phrase “Ultimo Mone,” playing off when Ultimo Dragon held a large number of Junior Heavyweight titles in the 1990s.
Mone’s belt collection is headlined by the AEW TBS Championship and CMLL Women’s World Championship and also includes belts from several international indie promotions:
- AEW TBS Championship
- AEW Owen Hart Cup Championship (ceremonial)
- Interim ROH Women’s TV Championship
- CMLL Women’s World Championship
- RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship
- Queen of Southside Championship (inactive, unified with RevPro title)
- EWA Women’s Championship (Austria)
- Bestya Wrestling Women’s Championship (Italy)
- Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Championship (Poland)
- Discovery Wrestling Women’s Championship (Scotland)
- Bodyslam Women’s Champion (Denmark)
- Winnipeg Pro Women’s Championship (Canada)
So far, the AEW Women’s World Championship is one belt that has eluded Mone. She has challenged Kris Statlander to a match for the title at AEW Full Gear next month.
