Mercedes Mone drops BestYa Wrestling Women’s title in Italy

Mercedes Mone has lost her second championship of the weekend and her third title in three straight matches.

After dropping the CMLL World Women’s Championship to Persephone at Arena Mexico on Friday night, Mone lost the BestYa Wrestling Women’s Championship to Swan at Mone Mayhem on Sunday in Bagnolo Cremasco, Italy.

Mone has now dropped five straight championship matches dating back to her loss of the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship to Alex Windsor at the December 17 AEW Collision taping in Manchester. Following that, she and Athena lost an AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship opportunity to The Babes of Wrath at World’s End. Four days later, Mone dropped the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale at New Year’s Smash.

Coming up next for Mone, she is scheduled to appear for Banger Zone Wrestling in France on March 14 and has a booking with RevPro on March 21. She will then return to Winnipeg Pro Wrestling on Tuesday, March 31, the night before AEW presents Dynamite in the city.
