Mercedes Mone set for indie title vs. title match

Mercedes Mone has the chance to add another title belt to her collection before Forbidden Door.

Revolution Pro Wrestling has announced that Mone vs. Emersyn Jayne will take place at their Global Wars UK show in London this Friday (August 22). It’s a title vs. title match where Mone’s Undisputed British Women’s Championship and Jayne’s Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship will both be on the line.

Discovery Wrestling is a Scottish indie promotion based in Edinburgh. This match was set up by a challenge that was issued by Jayne.

Mone became the Undisputed British Women’s Champion this January and has made two successful title defenses in RevPro so far. It’s one of several belts she currently holds in addition to the AEW TBS Championship — which she will be defending in a four-way match at Sunday’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London. It will be Mone vs. Alex Windsor vs. Persephone vs. a yet-to-be-announced representative from Stardom.

Global Wars UK is night one of RevPro’s 13th anniversary weekend. At night two on Saturday, there will be a six-woman tag match pitting Mone, Dani Luna & Kanji against Windsor, Safire Reed & Nina Samuels.

Crystal Palace National Sports Centre is hosting both nights of the anniversary weekend. The shows will be available to watch live on RevPro On Demand.
