Mercedes Mone set for title defense night before AEW show
Mercedes Mone is set to defend one of her titles in Winnipeg the night before AEW presents Dynamite in the same city.
Mone will defend her Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship at WPW Fight at the Museum, scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at The Manitoba Museum. AEW will be in Winnipeg the following night on Wednesday, April 1 for Dynamite at the Canada Life Centre.
Her challenger has yet to be announced and will be determined at WPW’s March 13 and 14 Voyageurs Cup events.
This will be Mone’s first defense of the WPW Women’s title, which she won by defeating Jody Threat at WPW Rumble in the Burt on October 19.
WPW is coming off a unique event earlier this week, having co-hosted Brawl at the Hall with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra at the Centennial Concert Hall. Matches featuring Jody Threat, Ava Lawless, and others took place with the orchestra surrounding the ring. WPW announced a sold-out crowd of 2,300, and the event received national news coverage in Canada.
