Mina Shirakawa vs. Serena Deeb announced for AEW Rampage
Mina Shirakawa will be in action against Serena Deeb on the Friday, June 7 AEW Rampage episode.
AEW announced the match for Friday’s episode during Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite. Shirakawa is set to challenge Toni Storm for the Women’s World Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on Sunday, June 30, while Deeb challenged Storm for the title at Double or Nothing last month.
Shirakawa was featured in an angle on Wednesday’s Dynamite where she saved Storm and Mariah May from an attack by Saraya and Harley Cameron after Saraya defeated May in singles competition.
Storm and Shirakawa are seemingly competing for May’s attention and affection in a slow burn storyline on AEW programming.
Friday’s Rampage is being taped Wednesday night, June 5 in Loveland, Colorado. The show returns to its usual Friday, 10 p.m. Eastern time slot on TNT this week.
