Mistico vs. Hechicero confirmed for CMLL Slamfest in Las Vegas
A Champion vs. Champion match has been announced for CMLL’s upcoming show in Las Vegas.
As first reported by our own Dave Meltzer, CMLL Light Heavyweight Champion Mistico will wrestle CMLL Heavyweight Champion Hechicero on the show, which is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino.
Meltzer wrote:
“A battle of CMLL light heavyweight and 2025 Thesz/Flair award winner Mistico vs. CMLL heavyweight champion Hechicero, No. 2 in the Bryan Danielson Best Technical wrestler voting for 2025, will headline the CMLL SlamFest at the Palms in Las Vegas on 4/16 at 3 p.m.”
CMLL later confirmed the news, writing:
“As first reported by Dave Meltzer, our main event in Las Vegas will be a Champion vs. Champion clash: Místico vs. Hechicero!”
Also, as first reported by Fightful, CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone will defend her title on the show as well. Her opponent has yet to be named.
“As reported by Fightful, our Women’s World Champion will defend her title against a challenger to be announced in Las Vegas!” CMLL wrote.
