Mixed tornado tag match booked for next AEW Dynamite
A mixed tornado tag team match with Dynasty implications is set for the April 2 AEW Dynamite.
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir will face Swerve Strickland and Willow Nightingale in a mixed tornado match on the Wednesday, April 2 Dynamite. The bout was set up with a segment on this week’s Dynamite.
Strickland is the number one contender to Moxley’s World title and will challenge the champion at the Dynasty pay-per-view set for Sunday, April 6. Strickland called out Moxley for a confrontation on this week’s episode. As Shafir attempted to get in the ring with a crowbar to kneecap Strickland, Nightingale emerged with a lead pipe to watch Swerve’s back. Shafir and Nightingale had a brief pull-apart to tease next week’s bout.
Also announced for next week, Will Ospreay will return. Ospreay was in action on last week’s Dynamite in a victory over AR Fox, but was absent from this week’s episode. A hype video for Ospreay played in advance of his return on next week’s Dynamite.
