MJF appearance, National title match set for AEW New Year’s Smash Dynamite
AEW’s final Dynamite for 2025 already has two championship matches scheduled and an appearance by new AEW World Champion MJF.
During Saturday’s Worlds End, it was announced that AEW National Champion Ricochet will face Jack Perry with his title on the line as part of this Wednesday’s New Year’s Smash from Omaha, Nebraska.
Perry challenged Ricochet to a title match during the PPV’s Zero Hour per-show when JetSpeed and Jurassic Express defeated Josh Alexander and The Demand in an eight-man tag. Shortly afterward, the match was confirmed with Ricochet looking to avenge his loss.
Next week’s match will mark the first time the two clash inside the squared circle.
Following his title win in the night’s main event, MJF was also announced as appearing on the show.
AEW New Year’s Smash Dynamite is scheduled to take place on December 31 from the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
