Orange Cassidy in-ring interview set for AEW Dynamite

After defeating Chris Jericho in last week’s main event, Orange Cassidy is set for a segment on AEW Dynamite.

AEW has announced that Cassidy will give his “first-ever AEW in-ring interview” on Dynamite this Saturday: THIS SATURDAY ON DYNAMITE! @orangecassidy will give his FIRST-EVER AEW in-ring interview! Watch #AEWDynamite SATURDAY NIGHT AUG 22nd on @TNTDrama  at the special time of 6e/5c or immediately following the NBA playoffs.”

Last week’s Cassidy vs. Jericho main event was a rematch from Fyter Fest night two. Jericho got the win in their first matchup but lost last week after Cassidy overcame interference by Jake Hager and a low blow from Jericho. Jericho went for the Judas Effect after the low blow, but Cassidy ducked it and caught him in a mousetrap pin.

This week’s Dynamite is airing on Saturday due to a scheduling conflict with the NBA playoffs. A portion of the episode will face competition from the NXT TakeOver XXX pre-show and main card.

Here’s the updated lineup for Dynamite:

  • TNT Champion Cody defending against Brodie Lee
  • Women’s Tag Team Cup finals: The Nightmare Sisters (Brandi Rhodes & Allie) vs. Ivelisse & Diamante
  • The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) vs. The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, John Silver & Alan Angels)
  • FTR vs. Private Party
  • The Lucha Bros, The Butcher & The Blade vs. Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy), Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall
  • Darby Allin in action
  • Orange Cassidy in-ring interview
