Orange Cassidy vs. Shane Taylor added to AEW Dynamite

AEW has made a new match announcement for tonight’s Dynamite episode.

Orange Cassidy vs. Shane Taylor is now official for Dynamite tonight. To set up the match, AEW tweeted out a video where Cassidy interrupted an interview with Shane Taylor Promotions. Cassidy challenged Taylor to face him on Dynamite.

Shane Taylor Promotions (Taylor, Lee Moriarty & Anthony Ogogo) defeated Chris Jericho, Hook & Katsuyori Shibata in a trios match on Dynamite last week. Shibata was pinned after Taylor delivered a knockout punch while Shibata had Moriarty locked in a sleeper.

“I saw what you did to Shibata. I’ve been losing a lot of friends lately, and I don’t appreciate you knocking out the only ones I have left,” Cassidy told Taylor. “So why don’t you try to knock me out later tonight?”

Taylor responded by accepting the challenge.

Earlier this month, Best Friends imploded with Trent Beretta attacking Cassidy. Chuck Taylor has yet to pick a side in the Best Friends civil war.

Tonight is Dynamite’s go-home show for Sunday’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. Here’s what’s been announced for the episode:

  • Will Ospreay vs. Claudio Castagnoli
  • Mixed tag match: Adam Copeland & Willow Nightingale vs. Brody King & Julia Hart
  • The Elite (The Young Bucks & Kazuchika Okada) vs. Penta El Zero Miedo, PAC & Daniel Garcia
