Report: AEW star injured and ‘expected to miss time’

AEW

Popular AEW star and Jack Perry’s partner, Luchasaurus, was recently written off television during the New Year’s Smash Dynamite episode on Wednesday. According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Luchasaurus has suffered a legitimate shoulder injury and is ‘expected to miss time in the ring.’

He recently appeared on the December 31st episode of AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash as Jack Perry’s aide during his National Championship match against Ricochet. Luchasaurus appeared tonight during Perry’s match with a wrap on his shoulder, before getting attacked by Toa Liona and being sent backstage during the bout.

Following Ricochet’s successful title defense over Perry, The Demand continued their attack on Perry and Luchasaurus. Liona and Bishop Kaun continued their dominance over the 40-year-old before putting a piece of the ring barricade over his shoulder and dropping continuous chair shots on it. The duo also proceeded to slam one of the security men over Luchasaurus’ injured arm and shoulder.

Fightful Select has not yet confirmed the specifics of the injury or the requirement of surgery, but he is expected to stay out of televised action, while Perry is set to continue as a singles star.

A few months ago, Luchasaurus returned from a life-threatening battle to reunite with Perry. However, bad fortune struck, and he is now again out of action.
