Orange Cassidy is reportedly cleared to return.

The former AEW International Champion has been out of action since March. It was initially believed he suffered a torn pectoral muscle, but recent reports suggest he underwent shoulder surgery shortly after the injury occurred.

Bodyslam.net reported on Tuesday that Cassidy has been medically cleared and is now awaiting creative plans for his return to AEW. Fightful later confirmed that this aligns with what they’ve heard and added that Cassidy is expected to return “sooner than later.” They also noted that the injury is suspected to have been a torn labrum.

Cassidy last wrestled on the March 19, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, Nebraska, in a four-way match against Mike Bailey, Mark Davis, and Ricochet.

Cassidy posted to social media in late July, mentioning he attended the premiere of The Naked Gun and that it was the best he’s felt “in a long time.”
