Report: AEW wrestler set to enter free agency
An AEW wrestler will soon become a free agent.
Fightful is reporting that Lady Frost’s contract is set to expire on April 1 and unless something changes, she is set to enter free agency. She last appeared on AEW programming back on January 10, losing to Mina Shirakawa on an episode of Collision. Prior to that, she hadn’t been on television since July.
Frost began regularly appearing on AEW television in 2023, challenging for the TBS Championship twice, losing to both Kris Statlander and Julia Hart. During most of her tenure she wrestled on ROH. She also competed for CMLL during this time, as she and Taya Valkyrie teamed together in a tournament for the vacant CMLL Women’s Tag Team titles, losing to Zeuxis and Dark Silueta in the finals.
Prior to signing with AEW, Frost had made appearances for the NWA. She also made appearances in TNA back in 2021 and 2022, unsuccessfully challenging for the Knockouts Championship.
AEW has signed multiple people to new contracts recently, including Jake Doyle, The IInspiration, and The Rascalz. It was revealed on Sunday that Tehuti Miles, the former Ashante Thee Adonis, has also been signed.
