Report: Former AEW Women’s Champion to be offered dual deal with CMLL
Thunder Rosa is reportedly expected to receive an offer for a dual contract with AEW and CMLL.
During an interview with Sports Illustrated earlier this week, Rosa said she would like to join the ranks of Hechicero, Persephone, Mascara Dorada, Mistico and Claudio Castagnoli as those who have deals with both companies.
Fightful Select reported Friday that the “working plan” is for Rosa to be offered a dual CMLL and AEW contract, with the CMLL deal running concurrently with her current AEW agreement. The report noted that her AEW contract is believed to expire sometime next year.
Rosa is scheduled to wrestle on CMLL events this weekend. She will team with India Sioux and Marcela against Persephone, Olympia and Princesa Sugehit at Arena Mexico on Friday.
She previously wrestled at Arena Mexico as part of the Ring of Honor Global Wars Mexico show last June, teaming with Persephone in a win over Athena and Red Velvet. She returned to Arena Mexico two days later during the Fantastica Mania tour.
