Report: Further details on Willie Mack’s AEW status
New details are available regarding Willie Mack’s status with AEW.
Mack posted to social media on Tuesday night and was critical of his lack of bookings in the company. He has not wrestled for AEW since March 2025, although his most recent match for Ring of Honor took place on December 6, 2025.
On Wednesday, Fightful Select posted further details on Mack’s status, noting that he remains under AEW contract, but is no longer on the same deal he had been on for the past two years. When he first debuted in 2023, Mack was on what is described as a “tier zero” contract, essentially a pay-per-appearance deal. He then worked under a full-time, salaried deal for the past two years before recently being moved back to a tier zero agreement.
It is not clear what led to the change. AEW sources are reportedly in contact with Mack regarding the situation.
PWInsider also reported on Mack’s status Wednesday, noting that he was offered a new AEW contract “some time ago,” but opted not to sign it.
Mack is also a regular in Violent J and Vince Russo’s Juggalo Championship Wrestling promotion, where he currently holds one half of the Tag Team titles alongside 2 Tuff Tony.
