Report: More details on The IInspiration signing with AEW
More details on the IInspiration’s new deal with AEW.
Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay made their debut for the company on Sunday, appearing at a house show event where they announced they had signed with AEW. According to Fightful Select, the two signed multi-year deals with the promotion and their arrival had been a “foregone conclusion” for the last month.
The two had been wrestling for TNA prior to their arrival in AEW. Their last appearance was on the debut episode of Impact on AMC, where they dropped the Knockouts Tag Team titles to The Elegance Brand. At the time, it had been reported there had been outside interest from other companies for the former IIconics. According to Fightful, their departure from TNA was amicable.
After their release from WWE in 2021, Lee and McKay signed with TNA, where they became multiple-time Knockouts Tag Team Champions. A year later, they announced they would be taking an indefinite leave of absence. They resurfaced at last year’s Against All Odds, resuming their career with TNA.
The new additions come as AEW continues to beef up their roster. At Grand Slam Australia, they officially announced the signing of Lena Kross, who aligned herself with Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford.
