Report: New update on Anna Jay’s AEW contract status
A new report has emerged from Fightful Select, succeeding their previous update on Anna Jay’s AEW contract status.
The latest report states that while Jay’s contract is believed to be up soon, it will not be as soon as they expected. It has now been noted by Fightful Select that her contract is set to expire within the next six months and possibly during Spring 2026.
Sources close to Fightful Select believed that her deal would be up by 2026, but that is not the case anymore. Fightful Select’s sources claimed that she is actively exploring other options and has connections within WWE and NXT.
As per the outlet, people became aware of her contract situation after Jay was hopeful to get involved in the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match, which unfortunately did not happen. While the report from Fightful Select notes that she has not appeared on AEW Television since then, she actually did appear on the November 19th edition of Collision, where she and Tay Melo lost to Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne.
Jay made her debut in April 2020 as part of the Nightmare Factory pandemic-era tapings in Norcross, Georgia. Since then, she’s wrestled nearly 130 times in AEW and five times in Ring of Honor. She is also remembered for her iconic Stardom run in Japan in 2024.
