Ric Flair: MJF is special, has ‘a gift that so few have’

Backstage at Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite, Ric Flair and MJF met up for the first time ever.

Flair made a post on X commenting on the moment, writing that he was honored to have met MJF. Flair said MJF is special and has “a gift that so few have.”

Flair wrote:

I Met @The_MJF Last Night. OMG! He Has THE GIFT! I’m Honored To Have Met You. Looking Forward To Working With You & Our Relationship Going Forward. You’ve Got A Gift That So Few Have! You’re Special! WOOOOO!

This October, Flair made his surprise AEW debut by being brought into the company as part of Sting’s retirement tour. Sting is having his final match at AEW Revolution 2024.

Flair has signed a multi-year contract with AEW. Flair and AEW have also reached an agreement to make Flair’s Wooooo! Energy the official energy drink of the promotion.

MJF is defending his AEW World Championship against Jay White at this Saturday’s Full Gear pay-per-view in Los Angeles. MJF will also be in action on the Full Gear pre-show, defending the ROH Tag Team titles with a mystery partner against Austin & Colten Gunn. MJF & Adam Cole are the current ROH Tag Team Champions, but Cole is out of action due to injury.

The main event angle on last night’s Dynamite saw MJF get laid out by White, Juice Robinson, and The Gunns.
