Ric Flair missing convention appearance due to ‘personal and health related issues’

Ric Flair has canceled a convention appearance this weekend as he navigates health issues and personal issues.

The wrestling icon was scheduled to be at Atlanta Comic Convention signing autographs and taking pictures with fans this weekend, but Flair announced today that he will no longer be able to appear. He said he looks forward to making it up to fans in the future.

“I Am Not Going To Be At The ATL Comic Convention Tomorrow Because Of Personal And Health Related Issues,” he wrote. “Thank You So Much For Understanding & For All The Appreciation! I Look Forward To Seeing You At A Future Signing.”

Last month, Flair went public with the news that he is battling skin cancer (melanoma) and would be undergoing treatment. He later sent out a post on June 30 asking fans to pray for him as he had an undisclosed surgery coming up.

Flair also was forced to miss a June personal appearance in Mississippi because doctors advised him not to travel at the time due to his health issues.
