Ricochet to defend AEW National title at RevPro event

Ricochet has an AEW National title defense coming up this Sunday in Cardiff, Wales.

Revolution Pro Wrestling announced today that its Uprising event on December 14 will feature Ricochet vs. Nino Bryant for the AEW National Championship. The title, which was just recently established, exists to be defended both in AEW and outside of the company for promotions like RevPro.

Since becoming the inaugural National Champion, Ricochet has retained the belt against Dalton Castle at ROH Final Battle and Ace Austin on AEW Collision. His reign began on November 22 when he won the Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear.

Vale Arena in Cardiff is hosting RevPro Uprising. With AEW in town for Collision this weekend, Mercedes Mone is also featured on the RevPro card. She is putting her Undisputed British Women’s Championship on the line against UK indie star RHIO.

TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater was scheduled for Uprising but has been pulled from his indie appearances in Europe this weekend, potentially indicating that he’ll be appearing at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Slater was supposed to be part of a three-way bout for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. It will now be a singles match with Sha Samuels defending against Jay Joshua.
