Tag team match announced for AEW Collision

Hikaru Shida and Persephone are set to team up on AEW Collision this week.

Following Grand Slam Mexico, Tony Khan has booked Shida & Persephone vs. Maya World & Hyan for Saturday’s episode of Collision. The announcement comes after Shida helped her new ally Persephone defeat Kris Statlander in a singles match on Wednesday night. As Statlander was going for the pin, Shida interfered and struck her with Thunder Rosa’s Mexican National Championship belt. Rosa and the referee had been taken out at ringside prior to the interference.

Maya World is the current TBS Champion after winning the title from Shida at Redemption. Her first title defense was a win over Persephone on Dynamite last week.

Persephone also holds gold as the CMLL Women’s World Champion.

Saturday’s Collision episode is taking place in Colorado Springs, Colorado on the road to All In 2026. There are now just over three weeks left before Wembley Stadium hosts that pay-per-view.
