Former AEW wrestler announces return to training after two years

Allie, aka The Bunny, has resumed in-ring training.

It’s been two years since the former two-time Knockouts Champion wrestled a match. She was removed from the AEW roster page in November 2023, and PWInsider reported that she and the company had come to a mutual agreement on her departure.

Allie posted a video to Instagram on Tuesday announcing that she’s resumed in-ring training.

She said:

“I haven’t had an actual wrestling match in, s–t, I think it might be two years. Many things have changed in my life and something in me just felt like I want to get back in the ring and see how it feels.”

“Not only did I not have a match but I hadn’t trained, I hadn’t bumped, I hadn’t been in wrestling at all for quite a long time. Maybe the last couple months, I started feeling like I really missed it in a way that I honestly didn’t expect.”

Allie says that she didn’t want to rush back in the ring until she was ready but has now resumed in-ring training.

She continued:

“It hurt so bad,” she said of getting back in the ring. “That first bump, you guys. I started hitting the ropes, it was really painful. But honestly, it felt so good.”

Allie’s last match was on the September 6, 2023, AEW Rampage taping. She teamed with Anna Jay and Taya Valkyrie in a loss to Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Skye Blue. Her full Instagram post is below:
