The Gunns return on AEW Dynamite, challenging for Tag Team titles

Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn have returned to AEW.

The Gunns made their return to the promotion on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite after a months-long absence attributed to an undisclosed injury to Austin.

Interrupting a promo segment with Tag Team Champions The Hurt Syndicate, The Gunns challenged the group to a Tag Team title match on next week’s Dynamite, which was accepted by MVP on behalf of champs Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

The Gunns held the AEW Tag Team titles in 2023 for 56 days, plus held the AEW and ROH Trios Championships in 2024.

A singles match is also set for next week’s Dynamite with Dustin Rhodes taking on MJF. That bout was set up with a promo battle between the two on this week’s episode.

The announced lineup for the Wednesday, February 12 AEW Dynamite, the final stop before next Saturday’s Grand Slam Australia:

  • AEW Tag Team Champions The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin w/MVP) vs. The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn)
  • MJF vs. Dustin Rhodes
