Thunder Rosa getting NWA Women’s title rematch on AEW Dynamite

Thunder Rosa is getting her rematch for the NWA Women’s Championship.

AEW announced tonight that NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb will defend her title against Thunder Rosa on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite: “#BreakingNews – #AEW’s @TonyKhan & the @nwa’s @billy  have agreed that this Wed, 11/18 Live on #AEWDynamite, @SerenaDeeb will defend the NWA Women’s World Championship against former champ @thunderrosa22 in the much anticipated rematch!”

Deeb defeated Thunder Rosa for the NWA Women’s Championship on the October 27 edition of UWN Primetime Live. At AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view earlier this month, Deeb retained her title against Allysin Kay on the pre-show but was confronted by Thunder Rosa after. They went face-to-face and Thunder Rosa motioned that she wants the NWA Women’s title back.

Deeb’s match against Kay at Full Gear was her second defense of the title. Deeb also retained against Leyla Hirsch on the October 28 episode of Dynamite.

Here’s the updated lineup for Wednesday’s Dynamite:

  • PAC vs. The Blade
  • TNT Champion Darby Allin & Cody vs. Brian Cage & Ricky Starks
  • AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks vs. Top Flight in a non-title match
  • Orange Cassidy vs. Kip Sabian
  • NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb defends against Thunder Rosa
  • The Inner Circle’s trip to Las Vegas
